Sleep like a princess

As the world’s master bed makers, Hästens has been the purveyor to the Swedish royal court since 1952 and still has the pleasure in supplying the royal court today. To celebrate the royal wedding of Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria to Mr Daniel Westling, taking place on the 19th June 2010, the makers of ‘the bed of your dreams’ has developed the new limited edition Hästens Royal, which will also be given as a wedding gift to the royal couple.

Using the knowledge and expertise gained over 150 years and to mark the connection with the Swedish royal court, Hästens has especially developed this exclusive bed which will be available in select Hästens stores around the world for a limited time during 2010.

When developing the Hästens Royal, the colour options of classical Blue Check and Single Navy were carefully chosen to emphasise the representation of Sweden. The blue, white and gold scheme is also Crown Princess Victoria’s colours of choice for the wedding. The bed has been created with specially made oak legs featuring a luxurious brushed brass base. Each corner of the bed is adorned with a stylish brushed brass crown that is detachable and beautiful gold embroidery on the base shows the name of the bed and the firmness of the mattress.

Like all of Hästens beds, the Hästens Royal is made by hand using the finest natural materials to work in harmony with the patented spring system for maximum performance and a superior quality of sleep. Nonallergenic horsehair, cotton, wool and flax make up the natural fibres which allow the bed to breathe, making it ideal for regulating body temperature and using natural defences against moisture produced when we sleep.
